Eliza the Dog needs a home

Eliza "Ellie" is a super cuddle dog and just wants to sit with her people and cuddle up next to them. She is a 6 year old, 6 pound Chihuahua. Ellie is a little nervous with strangers, but will warm up once she realizes she can trust you. She was been sleeping with her foster family at night in the bed and really enjoys being part of the family! She is not super playful but does do a little dance when she is excited to see you. Ellie came to CAWS with a shattered pelvis that required extensive care. She is doing great now and will need a family committed to continuing pain medication and rehab if she needs it. Ellie is house and crate trained. She should continue to be crated when unsupervised to avoid potentially re-injuring her pelvis. Ellie is great with other dogs, both big and small. She doesn't seem to mind cats either. Kids should be respectful and let Ellie come around on her terms. Ellie is a total couch potato who is just looking for a relaxing home with a nice bed.
